Frequently Asked Questions

How long does production typically take?

Standard production time for most promotional products is 5-10 business days after artwork approval. This can vary depending on the complexity of the item, customization method, and quantity ordered. Some products may have shorter or longer production times, which will be clearly indicated on the product page.

Rush production is available for many items at an additional cost. Please contact our customer service team to discuss rush options for your specific order.

How do I know what my customized item will look like?

After placing your order and submitting your artwork, our design team will create a digital proof showing exactly how your customized item will look, including imprint placement, colors, and size. You'll receive this proof via email.

Production will not begin until you've approved this proof, so you have the opportunity to request changes if needed. We recommend reviewing proofs carefully, as the final product will be produced according to the approved proof.

For certain complex orders, physical pre-production samples may be available for an additional charge.

Can I make changes to my order after it's been placed?

Changes to orders can be made depending on the current production status:

  • Before proof approval: Changes to artwork, colors, quantities, and product selections can usually be accommodated at no additional charge.
  • After proof approval but before production: Changes may be possible but might incur additional fees and delay production time.
  • During production: Once an order has entered production, changes are generally not possible.

To request changes to your order, please contact our customer service team as soon as possible with your order number and the details of your requested changes.

Do you offer samples before placing a bulk order?

Yes, we offer two types of samples:

  • Blank Samples: These are unprinted product samples that allow you to evaluate the quality, size, and color of the item before placing a bulk order. Blank samples are available at a reduced cost (typically 25% of standard pricing, with a minimum of $9.95).
  • Pre-Production Samples: These are samples with your actual custom imprint, allowing you to see exactly how your final product will look. Pre-production samples are available at regular unit pricing plus applicable setup fees.

Sample shipping is available at a flat rate of $17.95. To order samples, use the "Request Sample" option on the product page or contact our customer service team.

What file formats do you accept for artwork?

For best results, we recommend vector file formats such as:

  • Adobe Illustrator (.ai)
  • Encapsulated PostScript (.eps)
  • PDF (.pdf) with vector content
  • Scalable Vector Graphics (.svg)

We can also work with high-resolution (300 dpi or higher) raster files in the following formats:

  • JPEG (.jpg)
  • TIFF (.tif)
  • PNG (.png) with transparent background
  • Photoshop (.psd) with layers

Please note that low-resolution images, web graphics, or artwork embedded in Word/PowerPoint documents may not produce satisfactory results. If you don't have suitable artwork, our design team can help create or improve your artwork for an additional fee.

How do I know which promotional products are right for my event or campaign?

Selecting the right promotional products depends on several factors:

  • Audience: Consider the demographics, preferences, and needs of your target audience. Products that appeal to and provide value to your specific audience will have the greatest impact.
  • Purpose: Different products serve different purposes. Trade show giveaways should be eye-catching and portable, while employee appreciation gifts might focus on quality and usefulness.
  • Budget: We offer products at various price points to accommodate different budgets while still providing quality items.
  • Timeline: Some products have shorter production times than others, which may be important for time-sensitive events.

Our customer service representatives can provide personalized product recommendations based on your specific needs. You can also use our product categories and filters to narrow down options based on price range, quantity, delivery time, and other factors.

Common Artwork Issues & Solutions

Here are some common artwork challenges and how to address them:

Low Resolution Images

Issue: Image appears pixelated or blurry when printed.

Solution:

  • Provide vector artwork (.ai, .eps, .svg)
  • If vector isn't available, supply a high-resolution image (300+ dpi)
  • Our design team can recreate your logo as a vector file (additional fee may apply)

Complex Designs

Issue: Designs with very fine details, gradients, or shadows may not reproduce well in certain imprint methods.

Solution:

  • Simplify designs for certain imprint methods
  • Consider alternative imprint methods better suited to detailed artwork
  • Convert gradients to solid colors or halftones
  • Increase line weights to ensure visibility

Color Matching

Issue: Printed colors don't exactly match what appears on screen or in other materials.

Solution:

  • Specify PMS (Pantone) colors for exact matching
  • Understand that some materials and imprint methods have color limitations
  • For critical color matching, request a pre-production sample
  • Remember that screen colors (RGB) will look different than printed colors (CMYK)

Font Issues

Issue: Fonts appear different than expected or are substituted in the final product.

Solution:

  • Convert all text to outlines/curves before submitting
  • If sending native files, include all used fonts
  • Use standard fonts when possible
  • Avoid fonts smaller than 6pt which may be difficult to read when printed
